Pancakes

3 cups flour (see note below)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 ½ tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup applesauce
4 eggs
2 cups milk with 1 Tbs. vinegar in it

Put vinegar in milk. Mix all dry ingredients together. Add liquids (add milk last). Stir just until mixed. For the flour you can use all whole wheat, 7 grain, or just add some oat flour, or corn flour, etc. Experiment to see what you like best.



Waffles

Same as above except instead of 1/3 cup of applesauce, use ½ cup of olive oil.





Taco Seasoning

1 Tbs. dried onion flakes or just cook your hamburger with fresh onions
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. minced garlic, garlic powder or cook your hamburger with fresh garlic
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Mix all the above into the cooked ground beef. Add 3/4 to 1 cup of water and let it simmer at least 10 mins.





Chili Seasoning

1 Tbs. flour
2 Tbs. dried onion flakes or cook your hamburger with fresh onions
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. cane sugar or honey
1/2 tsp. minced garlic, garlic powder or cook hamburger with fresh garlic
1/2 tsp. cumin

Mix all the above into the cooked ground beef. Some people have actually sprinkled this over popcorn and say it is wonderful.





Italian Salad Dressing

Get one of those salad dressing bottles with the lines on them. The thrift stores usually have several of these, some of which are very pretty. Fill to the vinegar line with balsamic, red wine vinegar, white wine vinegar, tarragon vinegar or a mixture of any of the above. Then fill with water to the water line. Add the following:
1 tsp. each minced onions and minced garlic or garlic powder
1/4 tsp. each salt, cane sugar, paprika, pepper, dry mustard, thyme, basil, and oregano
Add cold pressed, extra-virgin olive oil to the oil line.
Shake and serve (it actually tastes better if it sits for awhile.





Bleu Cheese Dressing

1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup farm fresh cream
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tsp. minced onion
1/4 tsp. minced garlic or garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 oz. crumbled bleu cheese

Mix all together and refrigerate
